family in crisis mode...

Why is it that when family needs to come together as one there is almost always one person who doesn't want to cooperate? Life is challenging enough, having to navigate it around so that everyone is happy sure does make it even a larger challenge.

Here is something I truly believe...when God was creating us he was dividing us into two groups...one group for the logical thinkers (those of us who look at the whole picture and can see positive in things) and one group for the ones who will find the bad in every situation without even taking a second look to see if there is any good. I am sure that everyone can relate to this in one way or another. Scary huh?

Duhhhhhhhhh......

Just thought I would share a pretty funny 'duh' moment. When Sarah was visiting we went to the mall to redeem Gymboree gift cards that Trevor received for his birthday. So we are shopping in the store and I think out loud. "Gracie is having a birthday soon". Of course now this gives me a reason to buy a girlie outfit at my favorite kids store. We shop and I find an adorable outfit for Gracie as well as two pair of pajamas for Trevor (yes they still fit him, in fact Gymboree has upped there sizes to 10) Yeah for me! Anyway, we are walking down the mall and it hits me, "duh, Gracie isn't having a birthday! Emily is". Score one for Gracie :)

Sarah....

Is it still called babysitting when the child is 13 years old?

Oh, to be 13 again.......

Absence makes the heart.....

We all know the saying and we all go through it but right now I must be extra hormonal or something. lol Aaron is in Glamis with 'the boys' this weekend and I am really missing him. I guess I do like the guy! Just kidding, he knows I love him. He just bought a quad (a motorcycle with four wheels) and left Thursday night for what probably is the last trip of the season (with the boy's anyway). I am really happy for him. He has made many sacrifices in order to allow me to stay home and raise the boys. One of which was selling his dune buggy (his pride and joy). We are planning on buying another one (maybe this summer) we'll see what happens though. Remember Glamis Aimee & Joleen? Time to start creating more fun memories :)
